Built From a Working Life in the West
Pappy’s Market is the workshop and market table of Duane Papke—a man who spends decades in the outfitting world and never loses the habit of making do, fixing what matters, and building gear that holds up.
After 45 years living the western lifestyle as a horseman, guide, and outfitter, leatherwork and repairs become more than a pastime. They become a way to keep the culture close—turning leather, wood, antler, and other natural components into practical pieces with a bit of history in them.
Everything here is hand-built, locally sourced where possible, and made in a home workshop. Some pieces are small—something you can carry or hang on the wall. Others are built for the equine world, meant to work hard and last. All of it aims at the same thing: honest craft that feels down-to-earth and true to the west.
Duane always feels honored when someone brings a special project, because every custom request is a chance to build a bridge—connecting the customer to a glimpse of the western world and the stories that shaped it.
